How many spills have been reported here?

Ohio EPA's emergency response office logs every reported release, from diesel out of a wrecked truck and transformer oil off a pole to brine from a well pad and sewage from a broken main, most of them with a location. The map counts the reports inside each ZIP since 2021, about 2,400 a year statewide; the card sorts them by what spilled, names the largest by volume and says how many reached a creek, ditch or storm drain (about one in six). Interstates, rail yards, refineries and the shale counties dominate, and many reports turn out to be a sheen or a few gallons, so the count measures activity and traffic as much as hazard.
