Cracked Buckeye is free to read and always will be. We gather Ohio's public record, uncover its history and report on what is happening now, and we put all of it in plain words for anyone to use. If you find it useful, here are the ways you can help keep it going.
Free ways to help
- Follow us and share what you find. We post as Cracked Buckeye on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Every share helps the next story reach more Ohioans.
- Tell us what we got wrong. A correction with a source makes the whole site better. See how corrections work.
- Send us photos, maps and local history. Old photographs, family papers and what you remember about a place help us tell its story. Write to us.
Give to support the work
Records requests, map scans, data and hosting all cost money. A gift of any size helps pay for them and goes straight into the work.

Cracked Buckeye is an independent project, not a charity, so gifts are not tax-deductible.
