On screen the ad cites "H.R. 2669, Roll Call 263, 7/19/07" under "Social Security checks for illegal immigrants" and "H.R. 1319, Roll Call 96, 3/6/21" under "$500 million in COVID cash for illegal immigrants". Its next sentence says Brown partnered with Bernie Sanders on health care and amnesty. The 2007 vote was on waiving a budget rule for an amendment about Social Security benefits and unlawful activity; Brown voted against waiving it (57-40, short of the three-fifths needed). The 2021 vote the ad cites was on state and local government aid, not on payments to immigrants; the same day, a separate amendment to bar the 2021 relief payments to people in the country illegally was rejected 49-50, with Brown voting Nay. PolitiFact rated False a claim by Jon Husted built on Brown's 2007 vote and a related 2021 vote (Aug. 25, 2026).
