The world's largest mall became an Amazon warehouse (Randall Park, Ohio)

North Randall from above: a USGS map from 1963, an aerial photo from 1993 and one from today. In 1963 the village had two horse tracks side by side. Randall Park, which opened in 1908, ran its last races in 1968. On its ground the Randall Park Mall opened on August 11, 1976, billed as the world's largest shopping center at 2.2 million square feet. It closed on March 12, 2009, and came down in 2015 and 2017. Amazon opened an 855,000-square-foot warehouse on the site in 2018. Thistledown, the other track, is still racing next door.
