Watch Forest Park, Ohio get built: 1950 to today

Forest Park from the air in 1950, 1962, 1977 and today. In 1950 this was farmland, part of the greenbelt the federal government set aside in 1935 around Greenhills. Developers Marvin Warner and Joseph Kanter bought 3,400 acres in 1954, the first homes went on sale in March 1956, and Forest Park became a city in 1968. It had 4,800 people in 1960, 15,139 in 1970 and 20,189 in 2020.
