The Ohio Elections Commission found her secretary-of-state campaign committee guilty, by a reported 6-0 vote, of three violations at a May 19, 2022 hearing on a complaint filed by Trevor Knapp: filing an improper designation of treasurer, keeping improper records of expenditures, and using incorrect disclaimers on campaign materials; the campaign was fined $500. Her attorney argued at the hearing that many of the allegations were not supported by law and that some issues were remedied in less than one day.
