Super Power locomotive A-1 prototype (Lima)
Engineer William Woodard's 'Super Power' design, begun with the 1922 NYC 8000 and completed as the A-1 in 1925, used a larger firebox and better draft and was said to be 26-30 percent more efficient than a New York Central H-10.
