A woman’s right to choose what healthcare decisions she makes in consultation with her doctor is her choice. It is a health decision, it can be an economic decision, it can be a decision to save her own life. Republicans have wasted millions of taxpayer dollars on bad policies aimed at restricting a woman’s rights. Yet you can’t tell me ONE law they have passed to restrict the healthcare choices of men. When I am in the statehouse, women should know that they will always have a strong advocate for their freedom to make their own healthcare decisions.

Mental health and addiction has touched almost every Ohio family. And COVID highlighted the weaknesses we need to address here in Ohio. Whether it’s a drug addiction, depression or anxiety and so much more, we must prioritize dedicated resources to address mental health issues.

Education
Ian Chamberlin
Every child deserves an excellent education , regardless of their ZIP code. With a public-school teacher in his own family, Ian understands that teachers need the freedom to teach, parents deserve a meaningful voice, and students need more pathways to successful careers.
Erika White
For decades now, Ohio Republicans have slowly chipped away funding from our public school system. We have had scandal after scandal from online schools like ECOT closing in the middle of the school year to charter schools with no oversight, stealing money from Ohioans – all while leaving our kids behind. As your representative, I will always be a strong advocate for public schools so that every child in Ohio can get a good public education, regardless of their zip code.

Health care
Ian Chamberlin
Quality healthcare doesn't mean much if families can't afford it. Ian believes Ohio can lower healthcare costs by increasing competition and transparency, addressing the cost of essential medications, and focusing resources on patients rather than bureaucracy.
Erika White
I have dedicated my life to teach people how to be more healthy. From healthy eating to getting exercise, one of my biggest priorities is do everything I can to make people live healthier lifestyles. As a Lucas County Health Ambassador, I will come to the statehouse ready to address a growing issue of healthy living in Ohio.

Jobs and the economy
Ian Chamberlin
Make more things here. Northwest Ohio was built by generations of people who made things, built things, and worked with their hands. Ian wants to build on that heritage so our children don't have to leave home to find opportunity.
Erika White
Workers are the backbone of the economy, not Wall Street. For too long, corporations have kept prices inflated simply to boost their profits while working class folks fight harder and harder to stretch a paycheck. When I’m in the statehouse, I will fight to make sure Ohioans are the priority, not some Fortune 500 corporation.

Public safety
Ian Chamberlin
Every family deserves to feel safe in their home and neighborhood. Ian believes public safety requires supporting the men and women who protect our communities, holding repeat violent offenders accountable, and giving appropriate nonviolent first-time offenders an opportunity to get their lives back on track.

Roads and infrastructure
Ian Chamberlin
Northwest Ohio's economy depends on affordable, reliable energy and infrastructure capable of supporting future growth. Ian supports an all-of-the-above approach that keeps the lights on, protects ratepayers, and ensures our region can compete for the jobs of tomorrow.
Erika White
It is time we take an honest look at the infrastructure across Ohio. For too many people, one flat tire is a path to economic hardship. If Ohio is to remain competitive with the rest of the nation, we must have good roads, bridges and access to mass transit. We are already rushing to catch up. When I’m in the statehouse, I will make sure we are constantly addressing how we make it easier for folks to succeed and that starts with our infrastructure.

Taxes
Ian Chamberlin
District 41 should remain a place where working families can afford to buy a home, raise a family, and retire with security. Ian believes government should respect how hard taxpayers work for every dollar and focus tax relief on the families, seniors, and homeowners who need it most.

Veterans
Ian Chamberlin
Military service runs through generations of Ian's family, and he believes Ohio has an obligation to stand behind the men and women who stood up for our country. Supporting veterans should mean more than thanking them for their service—it should mean making Ohio a place where veterans and military families can thrive.

Why they are running
Ian Chamberlin
District 41 should be a place where families can afford to live, businesses can grow, neighborhoods are safe, and our children can build successful lives without having to leave home. Ian is running to make that future possible.
Erika White
I am Erika White, and I am proud to run for the Ohio House of Representatives, representing District 41.
