Where they stand

Elections and voting

This poorly drafted, poorly thought-out bill was crammed through committee at the last possible moment to appease the right-wing base, but it will hurt Ohioans of both political parties. It would be comical if it weren’t so harmful.

Energy and utility bills

I have more submetered customers than any other Senator in Ohio, and every time I hear from my constituents on this issue, they tell me how bad their experiences are! The Ohio Supreme Court already spoke, and they said that submetering companies are utilities and they have to provide all of the protections that other utilities have to. The legislature should not be creating different classes of customers simply because keeping everything equal may hurt the bottom line of submetering companies.

Local government

This capital budget does a fantastic job of distributing funds fairly across all counties and districts of the General Assembly. For that, I want to thank the sponsor, the committee chairman, and all of the staff who worked on this for months.

Recorded votes

William P. DeMora cast 475 Yea or Nay votes on the roll calls we hold, across 2 terms from 2023 to 2026, all in the Ohio General Assembly, from the Ohio Legislature. Each term opens to every roll call, with the question, the result, how William P. DeMora voted and how the majority of their party voted.

TermChamberYeaNayDid not voteWith party
136th General Assembly, 2025–2026Ohio Senate, district 2519737not recorded94% of 32
135th General Assembly, 2023–2024Ohio Senate, district 2518952not recorded94% of 51

"With party" counts only roll calls on which most Republicans and most Democrats voted opposite ways. The Ohio Legislature records who voted Yea and who voted Nay and no one else, so an absence cannot be told from an abstention and neither is counted; only floor votes are listed.
