Where they stand
Civil rights
The rights and freedoms guaranteed by the United States Constitution belong to every American. Heather Sample believes government should protect those rights—not pick and choose who gets them. She is committed to defending freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the right to vote, due process, equal protection under the law, and the fundamental liberties that define our democracy. Heather believes public officials take an oath to uphold the Constitution, and she will work every day to ensure those constitutional rights are protected for current and future generations of Ohioans.

Cost of living
Ohio families are working harder than ever, yet too many are struggling to keep up with the rising costs of housing, groceries, healthcare, and utilities. Heather Sample believes that if you work hard, you should be able to afford a good life. She will fight for policies that lower everyday costs, support good-paying jobs, strengthen local economies, and provide tax relief for working families and seniors. Ohio should be a place where people can build a future—not just get by. It’s time to put working people first and make Ohio more affordable for everyone.

Education
Every child in Ohio deserves access to a high-quality public education, regardless of their zip code. Heather Sample believes strong public schools are the foundation of strong communities and a strong economy. She will fight to fully fund public education, support teachers and school staff, expand opportunities for students, and ensure taxpayer dollars are invested in neighborhood schools. Ohio’s children deserve leaders who put students first and recognize that investing in education is investing in our future.
