Where they stand
Abortion
Life is one of the fundamental enumerated rights recognized by our founders in the Declaration of Independence. If life is not sacred from conception then nothing is and all other rights must ultimately give way.
Source: On the Issues
Education
Education must focus more on students and less on systems. This means returning more and more to local control where parents, teachers and local school boards are empowered to make the decisions that are in the best interest of their children and their communities.
Source: On the Issues
Energy and utility bills
Rep Click has fought to ensure that citizens have a voice. He voted to repeal House Bill 6. He also votged to give local communities a voice in wind turbines and solar farms. These decisions must be made locally not by some remote siting board.

Environment and water
As the state representative of the 88th district, I am committed to advancing the long-term interests of the people of Fostoria over the economic promises that may cost us and our children their health and security. I will work to keep Sunny Farms accountable, limit the tonnage coming in and resist all efforts at expansion.

Guns
Gary has been proud to uphold a 100% pro-second amendment voting record in the Ohio House, and has co-sponsored and voted for bills to arm school staff and enact constitutional carry in Ohio.

Police use of license-plate readers
While recognizing the clear advantages that Flock Cameras provide for law enforcement, many others and I share grave concerns about establishing an infrastructure for a surveillance system capable of stripping the right to privacy from everyday citizens.

Taxes
In the Ohio House, Gary has consistently voted to lower taxes and reduce government rules. Notably, Gary voted for HB 110 of the 134th General Assembly and HB 33 of the 135th General Assembly each slashed income and business taxes. Another key vote, SB 9 of the 134th General Assembly, required each state agency of Ohio to reduce its regulatory rules by 30% before June 2025.

Why they are running
Gary is the 88th District's common-sense conservative. He began serving in the Statehouse in January of 2021 and has championed education, tax cuts, law enforcement, EMS, pro-life legislation, prohibiting sex changes for children and keeping men and boys out of lady's private bathrooms and locker rooms.

Recorded votes
Gary Click cast 961 Yea or Nay votes on the roll calls we hold, across 3 terms from 2021 to 2026, all in the Ohio General Assembly, from the Ohio Legislature. Each term opens to every roll call, with the question, the result, how Gary Click voted and how the majority of their party voted.
| Term | Chamber | Yea | Nay | Did not vote | With party |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 136th General Assembly, 2025–2026 | Ohio House, district 88 | 306 | 2 | not recorded | 100% of 51 |
| 135th General Assembly, 2023–2024 | Ohio House, district 88 | 242 | 28 | not recorded | 97% of 39 |
| 134th General Assembly, 2021–2022 | Ohio House, district 88 | 371 | 12 | not recorded | 99% of 83 |
"With party" counts only roll calls on which most Republicans and most Democrats voted opposite ways. The Ohio Legislature records who voted Yea and who voted Nay and no one else, so an absence cannot be told from an abstention and neither is counted; only floor votes are listed.
