    The U.S. Supreme Court, 5-4, stayed lower-court rulings that had ordered Golden Week and cut early-voting hours restored, letting the SB 238 cuts stand for the 2014 election; the case was later settled in April 2015 with Golden Week permanently eliminated but some evening and Sunday hours restored through 2018.
