Context
Said at a rally for Vivek Ramaswamy at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown on Oct. 12, 2026. PolitiFact traces the line to Ramaswamy's Can't Afford Amy Acton site, which puts the cost of Acton's proposals at more than $21 billion a year and says paying for it would require doubling the state income tax; asked for evidence, the White House pointed to the RNC, which pointed to that site.
