Fostoria Glass Company is founded in Fostoria
Lucian B. Martin and William S. Brady founded Fostoria Glass in December 1887 to use newly found natural gas as fuel. The gas ran short and the company moved to Moundsville, West Virginia, in 1891, where it later made popular tableware for decades.
